Self comparison, Avoid it!!

The issue of self comparison has become one that is now paramount to the youths of today. Everybody wants to be like one person or the other that they feel is better than they are.  The truth is, many youths would actually key into their own purpose and the reasons why they were created if they can stop comparing themselves to other people. 

Have you ever wondered why you are able to do some things some other people can't do? Have you ever wondered why your keen interests are so different from others? Have you ever wondered what allows you to be fascinated by the accuracy of numbers while another is totally obsessed with the accuracy of words? Have you ever wondered what allows you have great interest in something that bores other people to tears? Have you ever wondered why you are able to devote countless hours to reading a book while others will never know the storyline if it's not on video? 
Others can't understand how you do what you do, how you are the way you are and you can't understand how they act in their own gifts too.  

It's all because every single person was created in his/her own unique way with unique potentials and gifts designed to fulfill unique purposes.  
The moment you start comparing yourself to others, you weaken your potentials and gifts and waste your time by wanting to be like the other person.  
You are unique, you are different, you are the best person you can ever be & you are wonderful the way you are. These words can be said or practicalized in front of a mirror everyday you wake up and you'll find out how helpful they are.

Avoid comparison, know yourself, develop your potentials and fulfil your purpose.
